A special journey to the schools
This time, we were able to visit schools in the regions of Agri and Igdir. In total, we were present at three different schools. As expected, the conditions were difficult and far from adequate. Many children lacked basic necessities. Some had no warm clothing at all, others were wearing shoes with holes that quickly become wet and cold during the winter months.
Despite these circumstances, what stayed with us most was the children’s joy and gratitude. Their reactions made clear how much even small forms of support can mean in everyday life. The visits once again highlighted how urgently help is needed in these regions and how limited the resources are within the school environment.
Encounters like these strengthen our commitment to continue our work and to support children where help is most urgently required.
